Indie powerhouse, Killer Films of New York City, is currently seeking a new assistant to Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler. We are looking for self-motivated, thick-skinned applicants; those hard-working problem solvers, and team players with great attitudes. Willingness, smarts, and attention to detail are critical. With access to the gritty underbelly of independent producing, you’ll be part of a small, yet extremely busy operation. We have projects in every stage of production that require our (and your) care. Last year, Killer had its most prolific run with 6 wrapped productions. Above all, Killer offers first-hand exposure to the daily mechanics of running a production company at the forefront of American independent film and television.
This is a full time position. We are looking to transition at the end of January/beginning of February.
Responsibilities
Organizing frequent travel and managing busy schedule
Answering phones, rolling calls and updating phone sheet
Track personal and business finances
Hire and manage all office interns
High volume administrative tasks for two principals
Assist Director of Development with tracking, script reading, notes etc
General day-to-day office management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Mac proficient
1 year industry experience preferable
Some experience with Quick Books a plus

Created in 1995 by current principals Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler, Killer Films has produced acclaimed features including Academy Award®-winning BOYS DON’T CRY and Academy Award®-nominated FAR FROM HEAVEN, KIDS, ONE HOUR PHOTO, I’M NOT THERE and HAPPINESS. Most recently, Killer Films executive produced MILDRED PIERCE, the Emmy Award®-winning HBO mini-series starring Kate Winslet.
